The Stimulus V2 has a versatile design that gives a lightweight and comfortable feel on your feet from the gym->coffee shop->work->dinner. The enhanced features offer an even more lightweight and comfortable feel than before. Includes all the typical features in a barefoot shoe to give you strength with every step of your day. For those that are new to the non-chunky shoe world, that means it has a wide toe box, zero drop, and a thin/flexible sole.Â
So why a V2 instead of the V1? We listened to our founding member's feedback, and made improvements to create and even better feel. Here's what's new on the V2:
-Improved structure to eliminate a pinch point on the top of the foot
-Decreased the amount of material used to feel less bulky and more snug feel on your foot
-Increased durability of insole, 0.5 mm thicker
-Lower ankle height
-Grippier laces

The Stimulus line runs slightly big. For example, if you are typically a women's 8.5/9, size down to the 8-8.5 size. If you are more of a women's 9/9.5, the 9-9.5 will be perfect. Reach out to info@minnemals.com for help with sizing.

We recommend spot cleaning. If necessary, you can machine wash cold on the gentle cycle, preferably in a garment bag. Air dry only. *The cork insole in the latte color is NOT machine washable*
Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, they feel great on my feet. I have the V1 and V2 and appreciate the changes made in V2 to feel more flexible on the top of my foot. You can tell there is a lot of care and thought placed into designing these shoes. Love the new latte color.

I really liked the look of this shoe and am always eager to try new barefoot style brands because my foot shape rarely fits well in conventional shoes.
First, the positives. I like the pink rose color, the shoe has a nice weight, and comfortable mesh. The site is well designed and the purchasing experience met expectations.
Now, the negatives. I’ve tried 7 or so barefoot brands and this is the first I’ve tried that doesn’t really have a barefoot profile. This is also trying the shoe slightly smaller and at / larger than other barefoot sizes I’ve worn. As shown in the pictures, my big toe is positioned at a slant when I raise it. The way the upper creases when bent pushes the toes in and cramps the toebox, never mind actually slightly pinching the foot due to the folding fabric.
This is entirely my fault, but being a new brand, I was worried about the toebox construction and briefly took it outside to find a slanted surface. This left a bit of dirt on the white sole which is prone to streaks and marks, and therefore voided the return. I respected that the brand worked with me to find a better fit without a complete loss of $ — they don’t have a risk free trial which I wouldnt expect them to. So overall, the brand is well managed and very reasonable with its customers.
The issue comes down to the shoe, which doesn’t have a wide toebox compared to any other barefoot shoe I own, and I’ve removed it as a new gym shoe because basic activity causes the material to fold in an uncomfortable way.

In regards to the toe box width, we know there are too many foot shapes/sizes out there to create a one size fits all shoe. We chose to launch with a medium width shoe to 1) appeal to those that have never worn a barefoot shoe before and aren't ready to have a really exaggerated toe box and 2) a wider toe box would be way too big for some people that don't have really wide feet. Because of this, we plan to add a wide line in the future to have more options for people with a wider foot. One suggestion is to remove the insole which will free up more room for your foot within the shoe. it is made removable for this reason, to give people the ability to customize what ground feel and volume they desire.
I absolutely love them. I love the flexibily, mobility and lightness.

I love these shoes.
I’ve tried a ton of barefoot shoes and these are the best looking and most comfortable. They look great with jeans or athletic clothing.
