FAQ

Commonly asked questions regarding Minnemals and barefoot shoes

Barefoot, what?

What size should I order?

If there is a half size available, they run true to size. For the sizes with a range (ex. women's 11-11.5 / men's 10-10.5) they run big and will fit closer to the half size above. Please measure your foot and use the size chart provided on the product page for the best accuracy.

Where do I wear my Minnemals?

Consider these your athleisure buddy. The increased sensory input you get by not having a thick piece of foam in between you and the ground helps with better stability and control. The great thing about Minnemals is that the style isn't reserved for the gym. Wear these with your best athleisure outfits (which, let's be honest is worn everywhere) to a coffee shop, shopping, brewery, etc. Strengthen your feet with every step no matter where your day takes you.

Is there anywhere I shouldn't wear them?

We would not recommend putting these on and going for a run right away unless you've run in a barefoot shoe before. Running demands a LOT more strength out of our tissue, and most people aren't ready for that drastic switch. In order to protect you from over doing it, please consult a gait specialist on an individual level if this is a goal of yours.

How long will my foot take to adapt to a barefoot shoe?

This depends on how weak your feet are, but think of it like starting a new training program. Little by little increase the amount of time wearing them, as is comfortable for you.

Where are Minnemals made?

Minnemals are manufactured in Mexico.

I see I can use my FSA/HSA to pay. How does that work?

Yes! We are excited to have partnered with Flex which gives you the option to use your HSA/FSA dollars to purchase Minnemals. This is listed at checkout under the payments section, and then you will be redirected to their page to complete the order. Please note there is a $10 telehealth consultation in order to be eligible for using this that goes entirely to the provider.
